dress up

The other day I came home from teaching wearing pantyhose. Thomas wanted to know if that was my real legs. When he found out it wasn't, he wanted to try on the stockings. I realize there are parents who would have made a different choice here, but then they wouldn't have an awesome video like this one:

You made absolutely the right decision Laura. "My lava Shooting Pearl" chanted in costume....well, award winning material.

the back story on the outfit was wonderful. Could we hear a little about the song ?

This is great!!! I do want to hear more about my Lava Shooting Pearl. . . .In my mind, it turns into an Eddie Izzard like monologue about pearls and volcanoes and ocean floors, but with out as high a heel.

I have a lava shooting pearl, actually.

No, I don't. But I like this and admire what Thomas is doing, here. I think he should quickly come out to Oregon to school Theo.

I only wish it was longer!

You'll really have to ask Thomas about the song. He wanted more costume, so I offered a pearl necklace but then realized mine was tangled. So I gave him a sea shell one instead and said it was pearls. The lava stuff he wrote himself.

This has the makings of a one man show --or one boy show--the lyrics, the costume and the in-your-face aspect--that is very "in" now. But best of all--Thomas is so adorable--audiences go for that! Wish I had been there!
